Do not deposit a basking light INSIDE a meander cage. Your meander will wrap nearly it and burn itself.
I suggest a metal screen on top. You can fit the lamp on it.
I choose, don't in fact deposit the bulb inside the cage. If it has to go inside the cage then you'll call for approximately rank of caging nearly the bulb so the meander can't get on to to close.
It would aid to know what rank of cage you have. Tank including screen top? Wood? Fake? I suppose it depends on what rank of cage you have. If it is schooner, then I would have to choose including the others, in that you must deposit it above a screen top.
But, if you have a wooden vivarium, like I have, then it is extremely simple to deposit a bulb inside. If you are going to be by a habitual bulb, then you can get on to a habitual light fitting that can take the bulb (i.e. wattages), and fit this to the roof of the viv by screws. You could question for at your community reptile supermarket for in rank on these. You must then be competent to get on to a cage to go nearly it early a dyed-in-the-wool reptile supermarket.
The cable can go through a fissure drilled in the in trade of the viv, but I would get on to the fissure about the same diameter of the line and then go nearly this including aquarium silicone once it is all in place.
If you are trying to deposit in a ceramic bulb, just get on to guaranteed that the fitting is well-matched including the ceramic bulb, and the line you use is warmth strong.
