The stretch "Neon Tree Dragon" is in fact ancient to describe a single just any species of agamas, liable what you saw was a limb of the Japalura splendida species - extra commonly called "Banana Tear Lizards" or "Chinese Tree Dragons."

They get on to 16-18" in length, but are small bodied compared to Beardies. They do most brilliant in a large arboreal surroundings (min 30x12x17), including dense branchy/leafy furnishings and hot bedding (EcoEarth/Forest Bed/BedABeast, Cypress Mulch, peat, etc). Requiring a damp of at least 50%, and go known for drinking water droplets off of foliage, it is not compulsory that you use a drip or cascade logic in the surroundings. Tender water attracts them. These elaborate features can be inevitable if you can mist several times a day. They demand a basking warmth of 85 degrees F, and 5% UVB.

They are insectivores and must be fed a diversity of captive bred feeder insects including crickets, mealworms, swell worms, small silkworms, etc.

They do ok including usage, but aren't going to be as submissive as your beardie, and it is usually not compulsory usage be kept to a minimum. They do not look after to be aggressive, just flighty (real of most agamas, in my experience).

I find them to be pleasantly outgoing in their activities and do not exhibit the typical agama feature of hiding constantly.
